MARICOPA — A single rollover accident on State Route 238 at Ralston Road Friday morning left two injured, and their pets running about in the road.

The accident occurred around 11:15 a.m. after one vehicle tried to pass another with not enough room. One car rolled and the two dogs inside the vehicle apparently escaped. When police arrived on scene, the pooches ran as police pursued them.

Two human victims were injured in the crash and transported to a hospital for further evaluation.

One dog was caught and transported to Maricopa Animal Control, but the other was too nimble and remains at large.
