MARICOPA — The Mavericks and Los Lobos will perform live in the Events Center at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino this Friday.
With diverse musical abilities that blend elements of Tex-Mex, Cuban bolero, R&B, blues, country and rock ’n’ roll, according to a press release by show organizers, The Mavericks have been connecting with fans for three decades, with hits such as “What A Crying Shame” and “All Night Long.”
They won the American Music Association’s award for Best Duo or Group of the Year in 2015.
Los Lobos is a Mexican American band with hits such as “La Bamba,” “Too Small Heart” and “Son of the Sun.” The award-winning band recently won a Grammy for Best Mexican American/Tejano Music Performance as well as a nomination for Best Americana Album.
Doors to the July 5 show open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8.
Ticket prices start at $34.50. They may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.
Los Angeles-based alternative rocker group Lifehouse also will bring its energetic sound to Harrah’s in September.
Lifehouse, a band formerly known as Blyss, has produced chart-topping hits for more than 20 years including “You and Me,” “Hanging by a Moment,” “Sick Cycle Carousel” and “Breathing.”
Founded in 1999, the group includes Jason Wade, Rick Woolstenhulme and Bryce Soderberg.
Since breaking into music in 2000 with their debut album “No Name Face,” Lifehouse has released seven albums, selling more than 15 million around the world, according to a press release from Harrah’s.
They have also topped the Hot 100 with a No. 2 hit, “Hanging by a Moment,” and shared the stage with rock icons including the Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam and Matchbox Twenty, the release said.
In recent years, Lifehouse has released “Lifehouse: Greatest Hits on Universal Music Enterprises,” a chronological collection of the band’s 18 hit singles and best songs, according to a press release.
Lifehouse will perform at the Events Center at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. Ticket prices start at $34.50 and are available online through Ticketmaster.

The Events Center, which opened in early 2019, seats 2,000 people and is part of the casino’s multimillion-dollar renovation.
