Merry Copa

MARICOPA — The city of Maricopa is hosting its annual Merry Copa holiday event this December.

At Copper Sky Regional Park, this event is open to the public with food trucks, entertainment, snow, crafts, vendors, train rides and more. It's held on Dec 3 from 6-9 p.m. The tree lighting and fireworks will happen at 7:30 p.m.

This year's theme is Merry Copa-ville, and a showing of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will be provided on the big outdoor screen.

Vendor registration is open to organizations and individuals who would like to participate until Nov. 18. Some suggestions for items are warm drinks and holiday gifts for those who want to get in some Christmas shopping.

For non-food vendors, it's $50 for artisans/goods vendors that sell tangible items, $75 for nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations serving the community and $100 for service vendors or those without tangible products. Food vendors are $150, which includes any beverage or food products.

Load-in times for various vendors are 2 p.m. for food, 3 p.m. for artisans and 4 p.m. for service providers/nonprofits.
