Merry Copa

MARICOPA — The return of Merry Copa promises lots of fun for the whole family.

The holiday festival is scheduled for Dec. 3 from 6-9 p.m. at Copper Sky Regional Park.

A Merry Copa activity wristband can be pre-purchased for $5 and free for Copper Sky Annual Members. These wristbands give access to the sledding hill with 40 tons of snow, train rides, inflatables, holiday petting zoo and "reindeer" carousel.

Wristbands are available at the Copper Sky Member Services desk starting Nov. 17. At the wristband station at the event, those who pre-paid can show a screenshot or printout of their receipt.

Copper Sky Annual Members have to get their complimentary wristbands from the member services desk.

There's also a way to save 50% by purchasing a pre-paid parking pass for $5 or free for Copper Sky Annual members at the Copper Sky Member Services desk until noon on Dec 3. Parking on the day of the event is $10. The discounted pass purchased online can be shown to a parking attendant via screenshot or printout of their receipt upon entry.

There's a complimentary event shuttle service with a one shuttle stop at Maricopa Wells Middle School from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

The public can participate in the free activities if they choose not to purchase a wristband. There's crafts, fireworks display, hot cocoa, visits with Santa and the Grinch, Fun Zone games, interactive DJ, complimentary cookie decorating kit courtesy of Propel Church and Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" screening.

There will also be a fireworks display and tree lighting starting at 7:30 p.m.
