MARICOPA — The Casa Grande Valley Chapter of National Daughters of the American Revolution will sponsor an Antique Appraisal Day from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 21 at Leading Edge Academy, 18700 N. Porter Road. The price of admission is $20 per item in advance or $25 at the door.

The price is $5, payable at the door, for those who just want to enjoy the show and not have an item appraised.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

During the event, Sean Morton of Morton Appraisals LLC in Scottsdale will evaluate fine art, antique porcelain/pottery, clocks, silver, antique jewelry, Asian works of art, Native American pieces and some select furniture pieces by photograph. He is a certified, licensed and insured personal property appraiser and member of the Antique Appraisal Association of America. He works as an auction representative helping clients consign to nationally recognized auction houses.

Appraisals of coins, stamps or guns will not be conducted. There will be a question and answer session. The presentation supports the educational and patriotic programming of the Casa Grande Valley Chapter, NSDAR. For tickets and information, call 503-349-6354 or 520-836-1154.

The organization was founded in 1890 to preserve the memory and spirit of those who contributed to securing American independence. To learn more about the work of today’s DAR, visit www.dar.org.
