SIGNAL PEAK — After two years of conducting virtual contests, Central Arizona College’s Math Department hosted the 17th annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest at the Signal Peak Campus recently.
Eleven middle schools from across the county, from Superior to Maricopa, brought students to compete in both individual and team competitions. In total, 110 students participated, a press release from CAC said.
Winning in the team competition were:
First place — Zane Noga and Jenesis Arias of Circle Cross Ranch Elementary School
Second place — Emma Brighton and Victoria Peterson of J.O. Combs Unified School District
Third place — Marc Duverson and Makai Mallory of Skyline Ranch K-8 School
Individual winners were:
Mathlete of the year, Madison Faulkner of Circle Cross Ranch Elementary School
Second place, Julian Soto of Skyline Ranch Elementary School
