QUEEN CREEK — “Footloose” and “Danger Zone” singer Kenny Loggins will headline this year’s Shea Homes Good Life Festival presented by Subaru.
The two-day festival is scheduled for March 25 and 26 at Schnepf Farms.
“The festival is so much more than meets the eye,” a press release from event organizers said.
Loggins’ performance at the event will be one of his last as part of his “This Is It” final tour, according to the press release.
Loggins, a guitarist, singer and songwriter, has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
“Commonly known as the ‘King of Movie Soundtracks,’ Loggins has produced numerous hit classics for top tier films,” the press release said.
As well as his hit “I’m Alright,” he’s also known for “The Great Adventure,” featured as the theme song for San Diego Zoo Kids television network and “Conviction of the Heart,” which became the “unofficial anthem of the environmental movement” when it was performed on Earth Day in 1995, the press release said.
His hit song “Danger Zone” was featured for a second time in Paramount’s “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Rock band Kansas is also headlining the festival.
A rock band from Topeka, the group has been performing for more than five decades. The group includes original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist/vocalist Billy Greer, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist David Ragsdale, keyboardist/vocalist Tom Brislin and original guitarist Richard Williams.
“Kansas has thrilled fans across the country producing eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums, one platinum live album, one quadruple-Platinum single, ‘Carry On Wayward Son,’ and another triple-Platinum single, ‘Dust in the Wind,’” the press release said.
During the festival, musicians will perform on the outdoor stage.
The festival also includes food vendors, wine, craft beer and bourbon sampling and shopping from artisan and vendor booths.
A new element to the festival this year is the “Complete Circle of Care” pavilion with information on advanced breakthroughs in health.
“Complete Circle of Care Pavilion features an interactive health and wellness experience at Good Life Festival offering complimentary advanced, cutting-edge technology including a personalized Health iWatch uniquely customized to each individual,” the press release said. “Complete Circle of Care Pavilion delivers opportunities to discover artificial intelligence breakthroughs in health, meet leading specialized physicians with expertise in areas of anti-aging as well as strength and conditioning, and shop for state-of-the-art physiological and anti-aging products.”
This is the 12th year for the annual Shea Homes Good Life Festival.
