Diabetes workshop offered

MARICOPA — A Healthy Living with Diabetes Workshop sponsored by Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens meets from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays for six consecutive weeks starting July 24 at the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Maricopa. Participants will make a weekly action plan, share experiences and help each other solve problems they encounter in creating and carrying out self-management. The Healthy Living with Diabetes Workshop is free and each participant will receive a copy of the companion book, “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions” and an audio relaxation CD. Stuff the Bus

Durham School Services will sponsor a Stuff the Bus school supply collection event at OfficeMax and the Walmart Supercenter in Casa Grande on the Saturday mornings of July 6, 13 and 20.

Lots of Class Reunion

The Class of 1971 is organizing the annual reunion for the graduating classes of 1960 through 1980 of Casa Grande Union High School. This year’s event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, at BeDillon’s Restaurant and Cactus Garden, 800 N. Park Ave. The casual get-together takes place once-a-year on the second Friday of October. Dinner and drinks are at the attendees’ expense.
