Gila River Bridge

WINKELMAN -- Motorists who use the Gila River Bridge along State Route 77 on the Pinal-Gila County line should expect intermittent delays that started Monday, Nov. 30, while bridge girders are being placed on the west side of the new bridge.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, crews will need to close the bridge occasionally for about 15 minutes at a time Mondays through Fridays during daytime hours.

The work is expected to take up to 10 days, with about four girders being placed per day.

Law enforcement will help direct traffic.
