WINKELMAN — A Winkelman man is facing burglary charges after he allegedly broke into another home in the community.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Shane W. Heineman, 48, is charged with burglary.

At 9:29 p.m. on Aug. 16, a homeowner reported a man with no shirt and wearing a hat backwards was seen on a camera in his home in the 5900 block of Dudleyville Road in Winkelman. The caller told Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies that no one should be in his home because it was under renovation.

When deputies arrived, no one was in the home and a camera in the kitchen was missing. Deputies also found two security cameras outside of the house.

A neighbor provided deputies with a still photo from the video that had been sent to her by the homeowner.

As deputies were leaving the property they spotted a man matching the description in the video, later identified as Heineman, allegedly near a driveway a few houses away. The man allegedly disappeared into the tree line as if he were trying to avoid the deputies.

The deputies approached the house the driveway was attached to and found Heineman leaning against the front of a truck in the driveway. Heineman refused to talk with deputies.
