SUPERIOR — A Superior man has been charged after he allegedly broke into a couple’s home.
According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Jason S. Bliss, 35, is charged with one count of criminal trespassing.
Superior Police officers responded to a call of a break-in around 2 a.m. on March 14 in the 100 block of South Christopher Avenue.
A couple at the home said they were sleeping when they heard a noise in their kitchen and their dogs started barking. The man told officers he found a large man who was not wearing a shirt, and who was later identified as Bliss, in their kitchen.
Bliss had allegedly ripped the kitchen screen door and then forced the door open to enter the home. When he was confronted by the homeowner, Bliss walked out of the home and tried to re-enter through a side driveway door.
Officers located Bliss in the desert just south of the home. He was not wearing a shirt, had injuries to his hands and wrists and was sweating in the 35-degree weather. Believing that Bliss may be under the influence of a drug or alcohol, officers had Bliss take a portable breath test, which showed he had a blood alcohol content of 0.129.
