KEARNY — A Kearny man is facing charges after allegedly being found with a stolen car.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Julian A. Acevedo, 44, is charged with theft of a means of transportation, unlawful control of a means of transportation, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 11:26 a.m. on July 21, a Kearny Police officer spotted Acevedo in the 400 block of Danbury Road allegedly getting out of the driver’s side door of a vehicle that had recently been reported stolen.

The officer allegedly found Acevedo in possession of the vehicle’s title. The buyer’s info had been filled out on the title but the seller’s information had not and the title had not been notarized. Acevedo allegedly told the officer that the owner of the vehicle had given him the title and signed the vehicle over to him.
