SUPERIOR — Motorists on U.S. 60 between Miami and Superior will encounter intermittent lane restrictions and delays starting Wednesday for the Pinto Creek Bridge replacement project.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said the restrictions are necessary while crews haul girders for the new bridge into the work site and place them to form the bridge. Girder work is scheduled for daylight hours, Mondays through Fridays, and is scheduled to continue into May.
Motorists should follow the direction of flaggers and law enforcement. While delays will generally be limited to 15 minutes, longer delays are possible during peak travel times.
Because the restrictions will be intermittent (traffic will not be affected every day), motorists can check the upcoming schedule on the project website, azdot.gov/PintoCreekBridge.
