APACHE JUNCTION — An Apache Junction woman is facing burglary charges after she was allegedly found in someone else’s home and in possession of the homeowner’s car keys and cellphone.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Fabiola Perez, 31, is charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and criminal damage.

At 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 10, Apache Junction Police officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress at a home in the 3000 block of West Broadway Avenue.

Officers allegedly found Perez in a back bedroom of the home and in possession of the homeowner’s car keys and a cellphone.

The homeowner told officers that they did not know Perez and that they did not give Perez permission to be in the home. The homeowner noted damage to the floor and door of the bedroom.

Perez allegedly admitted to entering the home and taking the items. Officers noted that Perez appeared to be under the influence of some substance.
