APACHE JUNCTION — An Apache Junction man allegedly was caught while running from a home he burglarized.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Ramces Molina-Martinez, 19, is facing charges of burglary, criminal damage and resisting arrest.

Apache Junction Police officers responded at 2:17 a.m. on Jan. 10 to a call of glass breaking and a suspicious person at a home in the 2100 block of North Meridian Drive in Apache Junction.

Officers spotted a man, later identified as Molina-Martinez, allegedly running from the home with clothes in his hands. Officers chased Molina-Martinez and found him hiding on private property. When they took Molina Martinez into custody they allegedly found a jar of marijuana with the homeowner’s name on it in his possession.

According to court records, officers believe Molina-Martinez knew the homeowner due to a series of text messages from Molina-Martinez to the homeowner asking if the homeowner was home that night.

They also noted that Molina-Martinez was wearing an ankle monitor as part of his sentence for an armed robbery in March.
