ELOY — An Eloy man who allegedly forced a couple he lived with to temporarily leave their home is facing charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Guadalupe D. Camacho Melendrez, 32, is charged with resisting arrest, domestic violence disorderly conduct and domestic violence criminal damage.

Eloy Police officers responded to a call at 10:14 a.m. on Oct. 13 in the 200 block of East Fourth Street. A couple at the home told officers that Camacho Melendrez had thrown items around inside the home and made them exit the home before locking himself inside.

According to court reports, officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Camacho Melendrez fled to a small bathroom in the home and locked himself inside.

Officers had to force their way into the bathroom. Camacho Melendrez allegedly refused to comply with officers' commands and had to be shocked with a stun gun before he was taken into custody.

He was later evaluated by medical professionals before being transported to the Pinal County jail.
