ELOY — The driver of a semi tractor-trailer was able to walk away from a rollover on Interstate 10 Monday, troopers said.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers, the rollover occurred around noon near milepost 214 between Picacho and Eloy. Troopers at the scene said the driver, who was hauling a load of canned goods, fell asleep as he was traveling west, went off the interstate, crossed a frontage road and struck the railroad tracks and rolled over.
No other vehicles were involved.
The driver reported he was not injured. There were no closures to the roads or the railroad, and the truck’s load was contained.
