ELOY — Two teenagers were killed and two others injured Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Eloy, police said.

Eloy Police reported that Andrew Archuleta, 16, from Eloy and Noleen Jose, 17, of Casa Grande were fatally injured when the 2004 Dodge Durango they were in crashed on Cornman Road west of Valley Road at 9:47 p.m.

The vehicle rolled and ejected all four occupants of the Durango. Archuleta and Jose were pronounced dead at the scene while the other two occupants of the Durango were airlifted to a Phoenix hospital and were in critical condition.

The injured weren't identified but are also teens, according to the Eloy Police Department.

“Preliminary findings show the Dodge Durango was traveling west on Cornman Road when it lost control and began to roll over several times. The occupants of the vehicle were not wearing seat belts, resulting in their ejection from the vehicle,” the EPD critical accident response team stated in a press release.

Eloy Police said investigation of the crash was in its early stages, but they believe that speed was a contributing factor and impairment of the driver is not suspected at this time.
