ARIZONA CITY — The Desert Senita Community Health Center announced the addition of Kenneth Nembu to its staff at both its Ajo and Arizona City facilities.
According to a press release, Nembu is the center’s new psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He will offer tele-health services as well as onsite services.
“Curiosity drove me into medicine,” Nembu said. “I was so intrigued by how the body functions while in high school. Working as a Certified Medical Assistant in west Texas motivated my curiosity about becoming a medical professional. It also puts me in a position where I can contribute to health care reforms: providing clinical education as a provider is essential in shaping the future healthcare workforce.”
Nembu has four years of experience as a medical surgical nurse. He also spent five years at a county hospital as a psychiatry nurse and spent over a year working inpatient and outpatient as a psychiatric NP.
He hopes to meet the needs of patients and advocate for patients’ rights. During his free time, Nembu enjoys playing sports and spending time with family and friends.
“I want to say thank you to the residents of Ajo and Arizona City for trusting me to care for their behavioral needs,” he said. “I pledge to ensure patient satisfaction will be at the forefront of the care we provide.”
