FLORENCE — The Pinal County Health Department reported another death from the COVID-19 virus Thursday morning.

That brings the total to three deaths so far reported in the county. Health officials reported two deaths on Wednesday.

According to information posted Thursday morning, the latest victim was between 45 and 64 years of age, younger than the two previous victims. The gender was not immediately available.

County health officials said the two earlier patients suffered from underlying health conditions. The first was a man in his 70s, the second a man in his 80s.

On Thursday health officials reported there were 138 confirmed cases in the county, with 30 hospitalized and seven in intensive care. Statewide there were 3,018 cases reported, now with 89 deaths.
