FLORENCE — The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Pinal County is 121, county health officials said Tuesday morning, 14 more than the day before.
However, the county's growth rate continues to be lower than that of neighboring counties. According to data from the Arizona Department of Health Services, Pinal County's number of cases is doubling every eight days, about half the rate for neighboring Maricopa and Pima counties.
Statewide the number of confirmed cases reported Tuesday morning was 2,575 with 73 deaths. That is up from 2,456 cases and 65 deaths reported Monday. No deaths have been reported in Pinal County so far.
According to the Pinal County Health Department, 58% of the cases in the county are female. Nationwide, the majority of cases have been confirmed among males.
