Items taken from the Maricopa Police Department reports for June 2021:
On June 26, Derek Walker was arrested for an April 24 incident where he was pulled over by Maricopa Police following an alleged domestic violence incident at a nearby residence. When he was contacted by the officer, Walker allegedly showed signs of chemical impairment and his blood alcohol concentration later came back as 0.31. Walker was also driving a vehicle that did not have an ignition interlock system when he was legally required to have one due to previous offenses. He was arrested and charged with DUI on expired license, DUI 84-month violation, DUI ignition interlock device, Driving without ignition interlock, super extreme DUI and DUI of .08 or more.
On June 18, Robert Chamberlain was arrested for two outstanding warrants following a traffic stop by MPD on W El Greco.
On June 10, Samuela Nawalu was arrested following an alleged confrontation between himself and another resident of a home on W. Dennis Lane. He was arrested and charged with assault – domestic violence and disorderly conduct – domestic violence.
On June 9, police were dispatched to the area of Homestead Drive and James Lane where Russel Talavera Jr. was located. He was contacted by police and allegedly found to have drug paraphernalia in his possession. He also had two warrants out of Pinal county Superior Court. Talavera was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 8, Maricopa police made contact with Stephon Howard on W. Sparks Drive. He identified himself to police and was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested.
On June 5, Police observed a black vehicle parked on the side at the intersection of Bowlin Road and Karsten Drive. Inside the vehicle was Javier Arrendondo, who appeared to be asleep and allegedly had a gravity bong in his lap. Arrendondo was arrested, and his vehicle was searched. Inside the vehicle, police reportedly found other drugs and paraphernalia. Arrendondo was arrested for possession or use of a dangerous drug, possession or use of a narcotic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 3, MPD officers were dispatched to a medical emergency that turned into a death investigation. On scene at W. Farrell Road, they found Pamela Jackson inside a vehicle with the deceased. Jackson was allegedly found in possession of drugs. She was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 3, Austin Goins was contacted by police on Bowlin Road and Regent Drive. He was identified and was found to have an outstanding warrant for theft and nine counts of forgery. He was arrested.
On June 2, MPD picked up Krysta Peters from the Gila River Jail and booked her on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to Pinal County Jail.
On June 2, Michael Fletcher was pulled over by MPD near the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Desert Cedars Drive after allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign. Fletcher was reportedly found to have been in possession of drugs and was arrested. He was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 4, Richard Andrews was arrested at a home on W Lucera Lane for seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He was indicted on these seven counts. A further ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are also listed in police records.
On May 30, MPD made contact with Heather Madrid who was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Wyoming. She was arrested.
On May 30, Maricopa police approached a vehicle at the Circle K on John Wayne Parkway. Abigail Stalnaker was a passenger in the vehicle. The officer allegedly saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and searched Stalnaker’s belongings. She was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On May 29, a Maricopa police officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bowlin Road and Anthony Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly Aaron Pollard. The officer allegedly smelled marijuana, and conducted a field sobriety test. Pollard’s car was also searched, and a handgun was reportedly found in the vehicle. He was arrested for DUI and two counts of weapons misconduct.
On May 29, Roberto Contreras was arrested and charged with violating a court order – domestic violence on W Capistrano Drive.
On May 25, police pulled Daniel Mitchell over on W Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. He was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
On May 23, Celena Matas was arrested after allegedly assaulting her pregnant roommate at a group home on N. Smith Drive. Matas reportedly came up behind the roommate and pulled her out of her chair by her hair before attempting to stab her with a pen. Matas was arrested and charged with aggravated assault – domestic violence and assault – domestic violence. The roommate was medically cleared.
On May 22, Kyanna Long was arrested after a custody dispute turned sour on W Pryor Lane. Long reportedly called 911 preemptively, and texted a phone number belonging to an individual who has a court order against her. She was arrested and charged with interfering with court proceedings and false representation of an emergency.
On May 22, Richard Connolly and Jennifer Quinette-Mott were allegedly involved in a single vehicle car accident on Murphy and Steen Roads. When police arrived, Connolly asserted himself as the driver. Police however, reportedly found evidence that Quinette-Mott was the driver of the vehicle and she was exhibiting signs of being intoxicated. Connolly was arrested for false reporting to police and hindering prosecution to the second degree. Quinette-Mott was arrested and charged with criminal damage, DUI in the slightest degree and false reporting.
On May 20, police arrived at a home on Wallner Drive and arrested Capryce Smith following a physical fight between her and another resident. She was arrested for Assault – domestic violence and disorderly conduct – domestic violence.
On May 20, Police pulled over Hector Arroyo in his vehicle near John Wayne Parkway. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was arrested.
