A resident on West Sonoma Way reported items stolen from her garage.
Police responded to a one-car accident at West Arizona Farms and North Yeager roads. Joey W. Heywood, 18, told police his vehicle pulls to the right and he has to steer to the left to compensate. He stated he over-corrected and lost control, causing the vehicle to roll once. He stated he was not injured. Florence Fire examined him. Heywood was cited for knowingly operating an unsafe vehicle. The car was towed.
Michelle Alvarado, 42, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.
An officer was dispatched to a report of an assault between juveniles at Pinal County Juvenile Detention. A juvenile charging review packet will be forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney Juvenile Division for determination of charges.
An officer responded to an accident on East Florence-Kelvin Highway at Dogwood Lane. A 16-year-old driver rear-ended another car that was making a left turn. All parties were seen by Florence Fire and refused further medical treatment. The first driver was cited for failure to control speed to avoid collision.
Johnathan J. Cantu, 27, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of driving on a suspended license and ignition interlock device required, and warrants. He was also cited for speed.
