A two-car accident was reported on North Pinal Parkway. Theodora Salazar, 39, was cited for failure to control speed to avoid collision and failure to yield from private road or drive.
A South Pinal Parkway resident reported his girlfriend had assaulted him and left the residence. Contact was then made with the suspect at her residence. A charging review packet will be forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney Juvenile Division.
Two vehicles were traveling south-bound on South Pinal Parkway when the first car pulled off to the right shoulder of the road. As the second driver passed the first, the first pulled back onto the road, striking the second car. The first car came to a final stop blocking both north and south lanes. The second car was forced off the roadway and came to a final stop approximately 40 yards south of the first car. There were no injuries. Tina M. Eckhart, 56, driver of the first car, will be mailed a citation for failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
An officer was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident with injuries. The officer suspected the driver to be under the influence. A search warrant was obtained for a blood draw.
William E. Humphries, 51, was cited for noise.
A bonfire was reported on East Third Street. Florence Fire was already on scene and had the fire out. Homeowner Richard A. Mills Jr., 33, was cited for reckless burning and was arrested on a warrant.
Daniel Lara, 19, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of reckless driving, excessive speed and endangerment.
Matthew Martin, 42, was arrested and booked into jail for four warrants. He was also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing justice and driving with a suspended license.
