May 11

An officer responded to a one-car accident at Ranchview Road and Hunt Highway. The driver, a 17-year-old male, was already being seen by Fire Department personnel. The driver stated he lost control, ran off the road, slid, struck a drainage pipe and rolled over. He was taken to the hospital for further treatment. No signs of impairment were noted and no citation was issued. The car was towed.

May 13

Andy R. Aros, 45, was cited for knowingly displaying a fictitious plate and driving suspended.

An accident was reported at East Florence Heights Drive and South Pinal Parkway. The first driver was stopped on Florence Heights, with his view obstructed by a turning semi. He pulled out to turn north and collided with a southbound vehicle. The first car was disabled and the driver was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. No citation was issued.

Sebastian Macias, 47, was arrested on a warrant.

May 14

Police responded to an accident on North Pinal Parkway. Police determined Phos A. Woodley, 29, pulled out in front of the other car. He and his passenger were transported to the hospital for unknown injuries. Woodley declined medical treatment. He was cited for failure to yield from stop sign. Upon his release from the hospital, Woodley was arrested for a warrant.

May 16

Jessy Williams, 39, was arrested on a warrant.

A resident on North Pecos Drive reported items missing from the back patio.

An officer responded to a report of an accident at Hunt Highway and Attaway Road. Melinda S. Kowalski, 72, stated she struck a car from behind. This caused the second car to run into a third car. Florence Fire personnel conducted medical evaluations and no one requested further care. Kowalski was cited for failure to control speed to avoid collision.

An officer was dispatched to a report of an assault on North Barrington Drive. Richard Phillips, 65, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of assault-domestic violence and aggravated assault-domestic violence.
