Christopher Newby, 40, was arrested on a warrant and for violation of parole.
A theft was reported at the storage lockers on South Pinal Parkway. A man reported his locker was secure a month ago, but when he arrived today the lock had been broken and items were missing.
Damian Washington Jr., 24, was cited on charges of excessive speed and reckless driving on Hunt Highway near West American Way.
An officer observed a vehicle swerving and leaving its lane twice and stopped the car at Sun City Boulevard and Stony Quail Drive. The driver stated his name was Kevin Chand and gave a false date of birth. Erik K. Burnette, 43, was cited for failing to provide his lawful name and speed.
Criminal damage was reported on East Butte Avenue. The property manager reported someone had kicked down the fence and the short wall and left trash on the west side of the property. Damage to the wall was estimated at $2,000.
A juvenile was cited for excessive speed in the Stanfield area.
Police received a report of a suspicious person walking around North Park Street with a flashlight. An officer responded and made contact with Nathaniel L. Day, 18, who was seen walking in a fenced area near Eighth and Park streets with a flashlight. It was determined that Day made the call. He was issued a criminal citation for false reporting.
A few minutes before 9 p.m., a downtown store owner called police to report missing items. Officers checked the business and found the front door was not secured properly and could easily be pushed open.
