The Police Report is compiled from Florence Police Department reports. The only names published are those of adults who were cited, arrested or involved in a traffic accident. Suspects named in this column are innocent until proven guilty. Anyone whose arrest appears in this column who is later found not guilty or whose charges are dismissed is welcome to inform the Florence Reminder and it will be reported.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

A Florence Gardens resident reported his mailbox was broken into and mail had been stolen.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

Theft of construction material from a construction site was reported on West Stony Quail Way.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on West Millerton Way.

Thursday, Dec. 31

A male allegedly entered a store on North Pinal Parkway, locked the door and demanded the reporting party call the police. The male would not allow the reporting party to leave. Seth Johnson, 30, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of kidnapping, disorderly conduct, threatening and trespassing.

Friday, Jan. 1

An officer was dispatched to a report of a physical domestic dispute in progress on North Monticello Drive. The parties were separated. Charging review paperwork will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for determination of charges.

Saturday, Jan. 2

A driver hit a cow on East Florence-Kelvin Highway. It was after dark and the driver did not see the cow. Neither the driver nor the passenger was injured. The cow died.

Sunday, Jan. 3

An inmate reportedly assaulted two correctional officers on North Pinal Parkway. A charging review packet will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for determination of charges.
