Arrests & Citations

  • On May 19 Carlos Juan, 28, was arrested for several valid and confirmed warrants while at 143 W. Palo Verde Ave.
  • On May 18 Michael Smith Jr., 35, was arrested on charges of assault and shoplifting after police said he shoplifted a 25-ounce can of Bud Light Chelada from Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd., and later returned to attempt to shoplift a pair of shoes and shoved the store’s loss prevention officer before fleeing the scene. Estimated loss $24.98.
  • On May 18 Yesenia Perez, 29, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and for two valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants after police said she was involved in a collision and fled to 455 W. Kennedy Ave. Police also said that drug paraphernalia was found inside her purse following her arrest.
  • On May 16 Benito Salinas Jr., 32, was arrested for disorderly conduct after police said they received several calls regarding a man and woman involved in a fight near the 400 block of West Vah Ki Inn Road.
  • On May 16 Terry Marietta, 27, was cited and released for disorderly conduct after police said they received several calls regarding a man and woman involved in a fight near the 400 block of West Vah Ki Inn Road.
  • On May 17 Megan Withrow, 28, was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting after police said she stole six bottles of nail polish and a pair of sunglasses from Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 20 David Trujillo, 28, was arrested for a valid and confirmed town of Florence warrant during a traffic stop that took place near the intersection of Vah Ki Inn and Kenworthy roads after police said he was traveling approximately 51 mph in a 35 mph zone.
  • On May 23 Abel Velasco, 37, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said he displayed a knife at another patron during an argument that occurred in the lobby of McDonald’s, 900 N. Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 20 Xavier Montes, 40, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after police said he was traveling at 45 mph in a 35 mph zone during a traffic stop that occurred Jalapeños 2, 620 S. Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 19 Bianca Sandoval, 18, was arrested on charges of underage driving under the influence during a traffic stop that occurred near the intersection of West Bealey Avenue and North Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 19 Isaiah Esparza, 18, was cited and released for minor in consumption of alcohol during a traffic stop that occurred near the intersection of West Bealey Avenue and North Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 15 Frank Chubick, 49, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Coolidge city warrant while at Circle K, 1541 N. Arizona Blvd.
  • On May 16 Sherwin Johnson Jr., 27, was cited and released for excessive speed and driving on a suspended license after police said he was traveling 65 mph in a 35 mph zone during a traffic stop that took place at the intersection of Skousen Road and West Highway 87.
  • On May 16 Heidi Hill, 42, was arrested on charges of shoplifting 10 clothing items and 40 food items from Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $212.53.
  • On May 7 Benito Salinas Jr., 32, was arrested for two valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants and on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia while at the intersection of West Vah Ki Inn Road and North Arizona Boulevard.
  • On May 17 Marcus Lewis, 22, was taken into custody for two valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants at the Gila River Detention Center, 693 W. Seed Farm Road.
  • On April 29 Malcolm Hodges, 39, was arrested for two valid and confirmed JP #1 warrants after police were called to remove an unwanted subject from 210 W. Walton Ave.
  • On May 7 Terry Marietta, 27, was arrested for two valid and confirmed City of Coolidge warrants while walking near the 400 block of Vah Ki Inn Road.
  • On April 29 Brandon Bolinsky, 34, was arrested for a valid and confirmed JP#1 warrant after police located him in the alley behind Lee’s Foodland, 308 S. Main St.
  • On May 6 Simon Williams, 36, was arrested for a valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrant and on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police located him at the Rain Tunnel car wash, 1080 N. Arizona Blvd.
  • On April 30 Amanda Sullivan, 27, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Florence city court warrant during a traffic stop that occurred near the intersection West Northern Avenue and Arizona Boulevard.
  • On April 29 Cody Carter, 27, was cited and released for having an open beer bottle in his vehicle during a traffic stop that occurred at Circle K, 495 S. Arizona Blvd.

Theft, Burglary & Criminal Damage

  • On May 19 it was reported that an unknown man shoplifted several unknown items of food from Circle K, 495 S. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss is between $10 to $15.
  • On May 19 it was reported that on May 18 an unknown woman shoplifted a box of Revlon Hair dye from Shope’s Market, 1940 S. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $3.89.
  • On May 20 it was reported that sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on May 14 an unknown person stole a black Samsung Galaxy S8 with a crack in the front glass from the gym area at Coolidge High School, 680 W. Northern Ave. Estimated loss $700.
  • On May 13 it was reported that sometime between 7 a.m. on May 12 and 6:14 a.m. on May 13 an unknown person(s) committed arson by burning the inside of a 2007 Chevy Uplander that was parked outside 2110 S. 8th St. Estimated loss $1,200.
  • On May 8 it was reported that sometime between 11 p.m. on May 7 and 6 a.m. on May 8 an unknown person(s) committed theft and criminal damage by removing a light fixture from the garage attached to the residence located at 560 N. 9th St. Estimated loss $60.
  • On May 3 it was reported that an unknown person(s) committed criminal damage by ripping off the passenger and driver sideview mirrors of a 2001 Ford Mustang that was parked in the parking lot of the Coolidge Station Apartments, 623 N. Main St. Estimated loss $300.
  • On May 2 it was reported that sometime between Feb. 5 and April 22 an unknown person(s) stole a Smith and Wesson revolver from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of 1205 W. Harding Ave. Estimated loss $400.
  • On May 2 it was reported that an unknown man committed fraud at Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd., by returning a 12 pack of Coca-Cola, a bottle of laundry detergent and a 12-pack of bathroom tissues by presenting a receipt but had not actually purchased the items. Estimated loss $29.20.
  • On April 27 it was reported an unknown woman shoplifted a 30-pack of Budweiser beer and a bag of pork rinds from Circle K, 1541 N. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $34.
  • On May 2 it was reported that an unknown man shoplifted a 32-ounce Powerade, a pack of Scunci hair bands and a pack of snack-sized Kit Kat candy bars from Shope’s IGA, 1940 S. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $8.19.
  • On April 21 it was reported that an unknown person(s) stole a Smith and Wesson firearm from the center console of a 2002 Chevy Tahoe that was left unlocked while parked at the Elks Lodge, 2441 N. Attaway Road. Estimated loss $346.
