Arrests & Citations

On March 10 Johnathan Manuel, 39, was taken into custody at the Gila River Detention Center, 669 W. Seed Farm Rd., for a valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrant.

On Feb. 29 Lucio Gurulee, 41, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, possessing an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics following a traffic stop that occurred in the area of South 3rd Street and West Lincoln Avenue after police said they found an open container of Crown Royal inside the vehicle he was driving and a baggie of cocaine and a container of marijuana on his person.

On March 10 Kasondra Juan, 31, was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop that occurred in the 200 block of West Coolidge Avenue.

On March 9 Ramon Lopez Jr., 27, was arrested for four valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants and one valid and confirmed Maricopa County Superior Court warrant after police responded to the residence located at 414 W. Harding Avenue in response to reports of shots fired.

On March 9 Tyler Bittner-Brown, 20, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Coolidge city warrant after police responded to the residence located at 414 W. Harding Avenue in response to reports of shots fired.

On March 12 Reggie McKinney, 36, was cited and released on charges of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop near the intersection of North California Street and East Walton Avenue.

On March 15 Abel Leos, 19, was cited and released on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, and cited for speeding following a traffic stop that took place near North Main Street and West Vah Ki Inn Road.

On March 17 Andrew Olson, 35, was arrested on charges of domestic violence disorderly conduct and assault while at 2185 W. Broadway Ave. after police said he reportedly threw a BIC lighter at his wife during a verbal argument.

On March 11 Scott Jones, 55, was cited and released on charges of driving under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop that took place near the intersection of North 3rd Street and West Pinkley Avenue.

On March 8 Jovita Valencia, 46, was arrested for two valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants during a traffic stop near West Harding Avenue and South Arizona Boulevard.

On March 8 Celena Madril, 26, was cited and released for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop near West Harding Avenue and South Arizona Boulevard.

On March 13 Ruben Tristan, 39, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Coolidge Municipal court warrant while at 236 E. Central Ave.

Theft, Burglary & Criminal Damage

On March 6 it was reported that between the hours of 8 p.m. the night before and 7:02 a.m. an unknown person damaged a water fountain located near the front door of the residence located at 871 W. Roosevelt Ave. Estimated loss $200.

On March 10 it was reported that sometime between the hours of 8 p.m. the previous evening and 9 a.m. an unknown person(s) broke the driver side rear passenger window of a 2003 Lincoln Aviator parked outside the residence located at 1205 N. Orlando Dr. Estimated loss $250.

On March 7 it was reported that sometime between March 5 and March 7 an unknown person(s) stole 25 feet of copper wire from an irrigation pump located at 1642 S. MacRae Rd. Estimated loss $5,500.

On March 7 it was reported that on March 5 two unknown women and an unknown man shoplifted several items of makeup, clothing and other assorted merchandise from Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $100.

On Feb. 29 it was reported that an unknown person took a gold ring with five diamonds across the top and a bag of children’s clothing from the residence located at 570 W. Lincoln Ave. Estimated loss $1260.

On March 1 it was reported that on Feb. 29 an unknown man shoplifted a Red and tan backpack, a black bicycle bag, a pair of black and gray large work gloves, a men’s cotton shirt, a pair of men’s shorts, a 3 pack of men’s black shoes, three small aluminum flashlights, a three pack of men’s boxer underwear and a men’s polo shirt from Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd. Estimated loss $160.

On March 12 it was reported that a small bag of marijuana was located in one of the hallways at Coolidge High School, 684 W. Northern Ave.
