The following was taken from records at the Coolidge Police Department.

Arrests & Citations

  • On Oct. 9 in the 200 block of West Coolidge Avenue officers were told $100 in cash was taken along with two checkbooks, a 72-pack of toilet paper, bottles of cleaners and cleaning supplies in which Brabdon Clark was later arrested on charges of three counts of forgery, trafficking in stolen property and fraudulent schemes after he tried up pass one of the checks at a bank.
  • On Nov. 1 police arrested Baron Antone at the North Circle K on warrants and shoplifting at the store.
  • On Oct. 26 in the 500 block of North Arizona Boulevard Police arrested Sergio Valencia on an outstanding warrant after responding to carwash where burnouts are alleged to have taken place.
  • On Oct. 28 at the Walmart police arrested Taylor Slaughter on five warrants after officers were called for a possible trespassing. Walmart later told police the store had not trespassed Slaughter from the store, but police were told of the warrants and during processing alleged she was in possession of two fentanyl pills.
  • On Oct. 20 by the Safeway store on Arizona Boulevard police responded to an accident. Julio Mezo Romo was cited for reckless driving after chasing down a woman in a car that she said tried to run her over in the Walmart parking lot. Romo told police she was trying to make the other driver stop and swerved into that driver’s lane resulting in the collision.
  • On Nov. 1 in the 100 block of North Arizona Boulevard police arrested Kristina Slaughter and Sierra Avey on possession of narcotic charges after it was reported the two were taking narcotics inside the bathroom of Pizza Hut. Slaughter was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
  • On Oct. 30 police conducted a traffic stop near Randolph Road and Highway 87 after the driver drifted over the dashed lines in the road several times. Mark Schmidt was cited for driving under the influence to the slightest degree and a blood-alcohol content of being more than the legal limit of 0.08.

Incidents & Reports

  • On Nov. 5 police responded to a burglary in the 500 block of West Lincoln Avenue for a burglary after a purse left in a vehicle was reported to be taken.
  • On Nov. 14 police responded to the 300 block of West Roosevelt Avenue when an unknown person entered an apartment unit and stole a wallet.
  • On Nov. 3 police were contacted at the police station in relation to a stolen gun that was taken from the center console of a pickup truck that was left unlocked.
  • On Nov. 3 police responded to the 400 block of West Walton Avenue for a phone that was taken and later returned.
  • On Nov. 2 police responded to the1300 block of Industrial Drive when an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle. Estimated repair and cost estimated to be $6.545.
  • On Nov. 1 police were informed a chain link fence in the 400 block of Palo Verde Avenue had been damaged. Estimated damage is $1,200.
  • On Oct. 18 police responded to the 100 block of West Harding Avenue where it was reported a handgun was stolen from his vehicle from an unknown person.
