Arrests & Citations
Chase Simmons, 20, was arrested at 7:07 p.m. on Sept. 14 at South Eleven Mile Corner and West Randolph roads for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a narcotic drug, a fentanyl pill, during a traffic stop.
A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested at 3:33 a.m. on Oct. 4 at South Main Street and West Coolidge Avenue for speeding and fleeing police. Police stopped a Chevrolet Silverado for driving 72 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone on Arizona Boulevard and arrested the juvenile driver who told police that he thought his license had been suspended, according to a police report. While pursued by police before the arrest, the driver told police he used a dirt road intentionally because he knew it would distract police, and that he had done the same thing twice before.
Shannon Satala, 42, was cited and released at 4:52 a.m. Oct. 3 at 900 N. Arizona Blvd. for assault.
Luis Griegos-Arguelles, 37, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. on Oct. 2 near South Ninth Street and West Martin Road for possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. During a vehicle search police discovered a digital scale and 0.8 grams of methamphetamine, and the suspect was taken to the police station for processing.
Henry Cherry, 55, was cited and released at 9:58 a.m. on Sept. 27 at North Third Street and West Bealey Avenue for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. Cherry was a passenger in a vehicle and was seen in possession of 1.9 grams of marijuana and a vaping pen.
Kayla Zamora, 20, was cited and released at 1:19 p.m. on Sept. 22 at her workplace of Walmart on Arizona Boulevard for two incidents of shoplifting on different dates. According to a police report, Zamora admitted to police that she had participated with others in shoplifting on Sept. 18 and on July 25 at the self-checkout location. She was identified as an employee of the store by a Walmart security official who showed police video of the two incidents, according to the report. The total value of the household goods was $173.40.
Victoria Molina, 27, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. on Sept. 27 at West Lincoln Avenue and South Fourth Street for a shoplifting that had occurred earlier at the Circle K store at 495 S. Arizona Blvd. A police officer driving in the alley behind the store saw a car parked on the south side of the store with a subject in the driver’s seat and another female subject exit the store and get into the car. Police stopped the car on Fourth Street for not using a turn signal, and Molina admitted to shoplifting a 30-pack of beer, according to a police report.
Anai Felix, 18, and Emmalee Thompson, 20, were cited at 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 25 at a residence in the 1000 block of North Third Street. Felix was cited with disorderly conduct, and Thompson was cited with making unlawful threats through text messages and disorderly conduct.
Ericka Selby, 40, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. on Sept. 27 at a residence in the 800 block of West Northern Avenue for disorderly conduct.
Emily Bojorquez, 39, was cited and released at 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 21 at North Main Street and West Byrd Avenue for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. Bojorquez was stopped in a 1998 Ford Focus for crossing the center line on Main Street and a police search of the car revealed 1.4 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and a glass smoking device.
Serena Ochoa, 27, was cited and released at 4:10 a.m. on Sept. 28 for shoplifting at the Circle K store at 495 S, Arizona Blvd.
Ronnie Hursey Sr., 69, was arrested at 8:36 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 400 block of West Palo Verde Avenue for possession of a dangerous drug, possession for sale, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. Hursey was driving northbound on Main Street at a slow rate, according to a police report, and stopped after police checked the license plate number and discovered an expired registration. A search of the vehicle found a single M-30 fentanyl pill and a glass vial with 12 other fentanyl pills, three baggies with methamphetamine with a total weight of 8.6 grams.
Harrison George, 45, was cited and released at 4:41 on Sept. 28 at 1449 N. Arizona Blvd. for shoplifting two 30 packs of beer valued at $60.
