Arrests & Citations
On June 19 charges were filed against Robert Edwards Jr., 37, for driving under the influence with a child passenger in the vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop that occurred near the intersection of South Kenworthy Road and West Coolidge Avenue. Police stopped the vehicle Edwards was driving while controlling traffic at the intersection, where a traffic accident had occurred.
On June 16 Franklin Shaw, 48, was cited and released for possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop that took place near Discovery Market, 295 S. Arizona Boulevard.
On June 18 Diana Macazan, 34, was arrested for two valid and confirmed city of Coolidge warrants, for a valid and confirmed Pinal County Superior Court warrant and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia near the intersection of West Raymond Street and North 6th Place.
On June 10 Justin Trego, 29, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Pinal County Superior Court warrant following a traffic stop that occurred near the intersection of North Main Street and West Kennedy Avenue.
On June 12 charges were filed against Hailey Harper, 25, for driving under the influence after she was involved in a single vehicle roll over that occurred on Christensen Road near State Route 287.
On June 21 James Jeffries, 35, was arrested for a valid and confirmed Pinal County Superior Court warrant, and on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a peace officer and tampering with evidence during a stop that occurred in the Walmart, 1695 N. Arizona Blvd., parking lot. Police said Jeffries ran from officers and got into a scuffle with an officer while resisting arrest.
On June 22 Andrew Jones, 39, was arrested for four valid and confirmed Apache Junction city court warrants and on charges of possession of dangerous drugs after police found methamphetamine on his person while placing him in a holding cell at the Coolidge Police Department, 911 S. Arizona Blvd.
On June 18 Robert Kitt Jr., 39, was arrested for arrested on charges of domestic violence disorderly conduct and two valid and confirmed Coolidge city court warrants, a Florence city court warrant and a Pinal County Superior Court warrant while at 573 W. Coolidge Ave.
Theft, Burglary & Criminal Damage
On June 22 it was reported that an unknown man purchased items from the T and L Market, 411 N. Arizona Blvd., using a counterfeit $10 bill.
On June 22 it was reported that an unknown person(s) shattered a large window at the front of the Coolidge Public Library, 160 W. Central Ave. Estimated loss $500.
On June 17 it was reported that an three unknown men and an unknown woman attempted to break into a home at 145 W. Lincoln Ave. No items were reported stolen.
On June 3 it was reported that an unknown person in an unknown vehicle struck the back of a unoccupied vehicle parked in the front parking lot of the Speedway Gas Station, 780 N. Arizona Blvd. and fled the scene. Estimated loss $500.
