The Eloy Fire District responded to the following calls for the week ending Aug 20th, 2019. The district also responded to 2 calls from an outside agency for assistance.

Oct. 14

At 4:12 pm in 17000 block of S. Vail Rd. BR521 was dispatched for a brush fire. BR521 arrived to find a tree stump burning and a 2 X 2 area of burned brush. Brush 521 extinguished the smoldering stump and wetted the burned area to prevent any other problems. The fire was extinguished and crew cleared the scene.

At 5:49 pm in the 500 block of West 14th St. EN521 was dispatched for a smell of gas in a residence. En521 arrived on-scene to find the home evacuated. EN521 crew made entry into the structure to find a meter reading coming from the kitchen area. Crews were able to shut the gas off to the stove and secured the main gas into the building. Southwest gas was notified and responded to the scene. Southwest gas gave the EN521 crew the all-clear and were able to return to quarters.

Oct. 15

At 5:14 pm in the area of Corridos and N. Estrella Road. BR522 was dispatched for a brush fire. BR522 arrived on-scene to find a brush fire burning in an unpopulated area. BR522 extinguished the fire. Crew remained on-scene to determine no other hotspots were present. BR522 cleared and returned back to the fire station.

Oct. 17

At 8:59 pm in the 1200 Block of N. Pinal Dr. EN521 was dispatched for a smell of gas in a residence. En521 arrived on-scene to find the home evacuated by Eloy PD.EN521 crew made entry into the structure to find a gas meter reading coming from the structure in an unknown area. Crews were able to secure the main gas into the building. Southwest gas was notified and responded to the scene. Southwest gas gave EN521 crew the all-clear and were able to return to quarters.

Oct. 19

At 5:14 pm in the 3000 block of W. Vaquero Dr. BR522 was dispatched for a bonfire unknown what was burning. Brush 522 arrived on-scene and made contact with the property owner who stated they were cleaning their lot and only burning the dead tree limbs from the lot. As this was a controlled fire the RP was advised if it began to get dark out to have the fire extinguished. Crews cleared. Burn Permits are available through Pinal county on their website.

Station One ran 22 Medical related calls and 0 Motor Vehicle Accidents.

Station two ran 8 Medical related calls and 0 Motor Vehicle Accident.
