The Eloy Fire District responded to the following calls for the week ending Aug 4. The district also responded to 2 calls from an outside agency for assistance.
At 10:11 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Santa Cruz Blvd St. E521 responded to a Smoldering Wiring Issue inside the Building. Crews secured the power to the involved equipment and no other hazards were found. Crews turned to building back over to the occupants and advised to have an electrician diagnose the issue.
At 11:24 a.m. on Interstate 10 at MP 213. Brush 521 responded for a brush fire along the interstate. B521 Crews extinguished the brush fire and Mopped up the area before returning to quarters.
At 5:56 p.m. in the 200 Block of E. Date St. E521 was dispatched for a smoke alarm sounding. E521 found nothing showing on their arrival and investigated. It was determined to be a false alarm.
At 9:41 a.m. in the 3000 block of W. Milligan Rd. E521 was dispatched for a Fire alarm activation. While en route to the call the crews was cancelled by the alarm company. Crews returned to quarters
At 7:32 p.m. on South Henness Rd.E521 was dispatched to a vehicle fire. E521 arrived on-scene to find no active fire. After further investigation the fire had been extinguished before E521 arrived. E521 crew overhauled the smoldering vehicle as the fire was contained to the engine compartment. No other hazards were found on-scene.
