COOLIDGE — On Dec. 30, police arrested Ronnie Hursey following reports of aggravated assault with a screwdriver.
The victim refused medical attention but confirmed a puncture wound under the left arm.
According to the victim and a witness, Hursey got into an argument with the victim and attacked before the person could get away in a vehicle. Both subjects said that Hursey had previously threatened the victim with a gun.
A police search of Hursey’s person found a clear glass pipe with meth residue in his pocket. Hursey was charged with aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia, which was forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office. Hursey had requested medical attention at the Coolidge Police Department holding facility and was transported to Florence Anthem Hospital.
