Relay for Life

The 2019 Relay For Life Coolidge-Florence kickoff and meeting will take place Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Florence Library from 6-7 p.m. Open to the public, all are welcome. Team, participant and volunteer information will be available.

Fall Singspiration

Horseshoe Tournament

FLORENCE — The 7th annual Valerie Frias Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held Sat., Sept. 14 at Heritage Park in Florence. Sign up is at noon; tournament begins at 1 p.m. Not a horseshoe pro? Participate in the Corn Hole Tournament. Enjoy food and drink and a chance to win prizes while honoring Val’s memory and helping victims of child abuse. All proceeds benefit Winged Hope. Learning center

Coolidge Presbyterian Church’s Learning Center offers GED tutoring, job application help and crafts. Classes are offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church’s office building at 179 S. 3rd St. Call 723-5141 for more information.
