Mobilize AZ

The Coolidge Public Library will be hosting the Mobilize AZ Clinic from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The clinic provides health screenings, testing, substance use resources, confidential assessments and free Naxolene.

Support group

CHS Hall of Fame

The Coolidge Unified School District is accepting applications for the next class of the Coolidge High School Hall of Fame.

Applications can be found at www.coolidgeschools.org and can be submitted to the CHS Hall of Fame Committee at the Coolidge Unified School District office, 450 N. Arizona Blvd., Coolidge, 85128.

Rotary Club meeting

Learning center

Coolidge Presbyterian Church’s Learning Center offers GED tutoring, job application help and crafts.

Classes are offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church’s office building at 179 S. 3rd St.

VFW bingo

VFW Post 3713 hosts bingo every second and fourth Sunday of the month, with a game for kids from noon to 2 p.m. and adults from 3 to 5 p.m.

A new support group for the bereaved takes place from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays at the Coolidge Adult Center, 250 S. Third St.

Medicare made easy meeting

Get updated or learn all of your Medicare choices from Gloria Smith of Insurance and Consulting Services.

Every first Thursday of the month, an educational session is held (no selling).

Topics covered include requirements and guidelines for HMO/PPO, prescriptions, diabetes, heart conditions, Medicare and AHCCCS plans.

Sessions are held from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Arizona City Fire Station, 14022 S. Sunland Gin Road.
