COOLIDGE — While the football team had plenty to celebrate on the field, those players weren’t the only ones in a festive spirit in Coolidge on Friday night.
The Coolidge High School graduating classes of 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009 were all present during the game on Friday and marched before the large homecoming crowd during halftime.
Following that, the homecoming royalty then took the field. Valentine Rodriguez and Tayiana Rushing were named homecoming kind and queen, respectively. They were crowned by last year’s kind and queen, Seth De La Rosa and Jacqueline Casillas.
The other members of the royalty are:
- Senior attendants and king and queen candidates — Carlos Antonio, Kimberly Mercado, Michael Bosquez, Yareli Moreno, Nathan Lucero and Kauri Heet
- Junior attendants — Amir Pinder and Melody Makua
- Sophomore attendants — Mark Clegg and Trinitee Wright
- Freshman attendants — Dru Madrid and Yamilet Cazares
