Master’s Voice to perform in Florence
FLORENCE — The southern gospel group Master’s Voice is set to perform in Florence. The group, which brings an evangelistic approach to singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, will perform at 9 a.m. on Feb. 5 at the Caliente clubhouse, 3543 N. Caliente Blvd. The performance is part of the group’s “Great Musical Worship” tour. Master’s Voice was founded in 1995. There is no cost to attend although a “love offering” will be taken.
Catholic Daughters Trunk of Treasures
Daughters of St. Anthony Court 2651 plans a “Trunk of Treasures” sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the church parking lot behind the parish office, off Marshall and First streets. Those wishing to sell items or “treasures” may reserve a spot by calling Betty at 520-424-8084. Spots are limited.
Abortion trauma support offered
HEART — Healing the effects of abortion related trauma — is offering support to those who are feeling “worn out from holding onto negative feelings about yourself and others, surrounding your abortion history,” a press release from the organization said. Those in need of support may seek hope and healing through the group’s confidential abortion Christian recovery program in Casa Grande. HEART is taking reservations for a January group. Church of Christ Clothing Room
The Clothing Room at the Church of Christ, 805 E. Racine Place, will open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon on the first Monday of each month from October through May. The Clothing Room offers a wide selection of used clothing, shoes and other items free of charge. Items are provided by contributors throughout the community. Clean clothing donations may be dropped off anytime. Donors bringing contributions after hours should place items in bags and toss them over the fence.
Breakfast service offered
St. Anthony of Padua’s Knights of Columbus Council 3136 serves breakfast most Sundays following the 6:30, 8 and 10 a.m. Masses in the St. Anthony Community Center. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, French toast, biscuits and gravy as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice or water for $9.50. All are welcome.
Caregiver support group
A caregiver support group continues to meet in Casa Grande to provide encouragement and support for family caregivers in a confidential, emotionally safe and secure environment. The group meets every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at Fairways clubhouse, 2054 N. Thornton Road. For more information, call Merridy at 520-836-8901.
Drive-thru prayers offered
Trinity Southern Baptist Church, located at 1100 E. Trinity Place, offers drive-thru prayers every Wednesday morning from 7 to 9:30. People may stop by for a short prayer and blessing without leaving their vehicle. All are welcome.
