Cruise, BBQ & Blues Festival

ORO VALLEY — Cruise, BBQ & Blues Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Oro Valley Marketplace, 12155 N. Oracle Road. Admission is $5, with $1 off for veterans and active duty military. Kids 10 and younger are admitted free. The event celebrates community, culture, culinary arts and classic cars. The 12th annual festival will bring together some of the finest barbecue from local chefs, community arts experiences and live music on the main stage. All proceeds benefit the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, a nonprofit organization that raises money to support innovative arts therapy and educational experiences for local veterans.

PEO Chapter BP

CASA GRANDE — PEO Chapter BP will meet on Monday. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 10. The meeting is open to all PEO unaffiliates and winter visitors. If you need transportation or would like further information, call 712-259-1646.

American Legion Auxiliary

CASA GRANDE — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 8 will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the American Legion post, 713 N. Park Ave. The group meets on the third Tuesday every month. The meetings are open to members and those who wish to learn more.

Free Diabetes Prevention Program

CASA GRANDE — A Diabetes Prevention Program is offered at the Casa Grande Community Recreation Center, 1905 N. Peart Road. The first meeting is on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. It is a year-long program with weekly meetings for the first two months, then twice a month for the next six months, then once a month for the last four months. Attendees must be 18 or older and have a diagnosis of prediabetes or be eligible by a simple questionnaire. Register at 520-421-8677. Blood drive at Maricopa Campus

MARICOPA — Central Arizona College will hold a blood drive at the Maricopa Campus, 17945 N. Regent Drive, on Wednesday. The event, sponsored by Vitalant and Phi Theta Kappa, will begin at 2 p.m. and run until 5 p.m. The Vitalant Bloodmobile will be parked in Lot A.
