Palm Creek Chorus Variety Show
The Palm Creek Chorus Variety Show is Thursday and Friday, March 9 and 10, beginning at 7 p.m. at Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort in the ballroom, 1110 N. Henness Road. The 60-voice chorus presents a variety of music and instrumentalists featuring pop, Broadway, jazz and standards. Tickets are $10. Proceeds will go to Casa Grande’s Against Abuse Inc.
Virtual caregiver workshop
Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens hosts a free virtual “Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, April 5 through May 10. Attendees will learn the skills to take care of themselves while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver. Six class sessions held once a week are led by experienced class leaders. Class participants are given “The Caregiver Helpbook” to accompany the class and provide additional caregiver resources. The classes give you tools to help reduce stress, improve self-confidence, manage time, set goals, solve problems, better communicate feelings, make tough decisions and locate helpful resources. Robson Ranch arts and crafts fair
ELOY — The annual spring Robson Ranch arts and crafts fair is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, in the Hermosa Ballroom, 5750 Robson Blvd. The event features items hand-crafted by Robson Ranch residents and aims to be a great place to find one-of-a-kind items for gift giving or for the home. There is no charge for admission and parking is free.
Elvis tribute at Paramount
Jim Westover will present an Elvis Presley tribute St. Patrick’s Day concert March 16 at 3 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre, 420 N. Florence St. Westover is an award-winning tribute artist who works to recreate the Elvis concert experience.
History Speaks
As part of The Museum of Casa Grande’s History Speaks series, H. Christine Reid will present “They Beat the Heat: How Arizona survived the desert heat before air conditioning” beginning at 1 p.m. on March 16 at the Dorothy Powell Senior Center, 405 E. Sixth St.
Friend to Friend
ARIZONA CITY — Friend to Friend, a caregiver support group, meets from 10 to 11 a.m. March 17 at the Arizona City Fire District, 14022 S. Sunland Gin Road. All are welcome at the meeting, including friends and family who face the challenges of caregiving for a loved one, according to an announcement for the meeting.
