Friends of Library book sale

The Friends of the Library will hold their annual book sale through Saturday at the Trekell Barn, behind The Museum of Casa Grande. Sale hours are Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those attending should use the entrance on Eighth Street. Proceeds benefit the Casa Grande Public Library.

Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program

Zonta’s Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program was established in 1990 and the goal is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Applicants age 16 to 19 on April 1 each year, studying at a secondary school, college or university in a Zonta district/region, or who are studying elsewhere but are a citizen of a Zonta country, who demonstrate evidence, are eligible to apply. The application process must start with a Zonta club and applicants may use the club locator at Zonta International website,, to locate the nearest Zonta club. Contact the Zonta club for deadline information. Application is posted on the Zonta International website.

Silverado RV Resort craft show

ELOY — Silverado RV Resort, 4555 W. Tonto Road, will host the Winter Festival of Crafts art and craft sale, featuring handmade items, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. During the event, non-perishable food will be collected for the Eloy Food Bank.

Family Game Night

Grace Lutheran Church, 1805 E. Sierra Parkway, will host a family game night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the church Fellowship Hall. All are welcome.

American Legion Riders fundraiser breakfast

The American Legion Riders have a fundraiser breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 8, 713 N. Park Ave., to fund their charities. They will be serving sausage gravy with two biscuits, two eggs, juice, water and coffee for $5. Members and guests are welcome.
