Events at Elks Lodge

Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge 1957 has the following activities this week:

  • Wednesday: Elks Riders meeting, 6 p.m.
  • Thursday: women’s shuffleboard, 12:30 p.m.; Queen of Hearts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday: mixed shuffleboard, 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: bingo from 2 to 4 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery meetings

Celebrate Recovery is a non-denominational, faith-based recovery program for all people who struggle with any hurt, habit or hang-up, be it anxiety, anger, grief, emotional, physical or sexual abuse, sexual addiction, chemical dependency, self-injury, co-dependence, divorce, food addiction, pornography or any other issue. They meet every Friday night at 501 E. Kortsen Road at Casa Grande Assembly of God, with complimentary dinner at 6 p.m. and program at 6:45 p.m. For more information, call 520-483-0457 or 540-226-8976.

CG Alliance Community Speaker Series

Stacey Heard, from the Pinal County Attorney’s Office, will give a presentation entitled “Beware of Digital Dangers” at 3 p.m. Thursday at 280 W. McMurray Blvd. as part of the Casa Grande Alliance’s Community Speaker Series, which features engaging speakers on community prevention topics relevant to Casa Grande. The discussion will focus on the flood of new technology that began with the new millennium, from iPads to virtual reality and various social media that changes quickly. Heard will discuss the dangers, the meaning and how to stop or avoid the risk. The presentation is open to all, including families with teens and tweens. Refreshments will be served.
