Church RSVP required

CASA GRANDE — The United Methodist Church of Casa Grande reopened for in-person worship on Sunday with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. To ensure the safety of church attendees, attendance is limited to 50 people per service. Those wishing to attend in-person services are asked to reserve seats in advance by the Wednesday prior to the Sunday service by visiting the website umccg.org or calling the church office at 836-8630. Online worship is available on the church website or on its Facebook or YouTube pages.

Donations of food for caravan needed

CASA GRANDE — A group of volunteers is planning a food caravan to Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico, on Saturday, April 24. The volunteers will stop at an orphanage in Mexico and the St. Vincent de Paul charity and clinic in Rocky Point. Donations are needed. Rice, beans, dry milk, laundry soap, bath soap and non-perishable items are accepted at Sommers Glass & Mirror, 503 E. Florence Blvd. Those who wish to help or join the caravan may call Evelia at 466-8073 or Angie at 876-5215.

Child Find

ELOY — The Eloy Elementary School District will hold a Child Find on Thursday at Eloy Intermediate School, 1005 N. Santa Cruz Ave. A group of specialists in the area of early childhood education will be available to screen children ages 3 to 5. The purpose of Child Find is to help determine if a child has developmental concerns. During Child Find, children will be screened at no cost in the following areas: communication, physical development, academic skill development, vision/hearing, self-help skills and social and emotional development. The school district provides ongoing screenings and can provide information on screenings for persons ages 0 to 21. If a child is struggling in any of the mentioned areas, contact the Eloy Elementary Special Services office at 466-2133 to make an appointment.

Northwind performing

ELOY — Northwind will perform classic country music live from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Tumbleweed Inn, 3815 W. Frontier St. in Eloy.

PEO Chapter BP

The regular meeting of PEO Chapter BP will be held on Monday. The chapter will follow all safety procedures regarding COVID-19. Time for socializing, while physically distancing, will begin at 9:30 a.m. The business meeting will start at 10 a.m. This event is open to all PEO unaffiliates and winter visitors.
