Meetings, Activities and Events is a free community listing of activities and meetings throughout the area. Items are edited for length, style and clarity and are placed as space permits. Please include a contact number should further clarification be needed before publication. Submission deadline is three days before the meeting or event and at least two days before publication. Movie on the lawn

“Casper” is the movie on the lawn set to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, at the Community Recreation Center, 1905 N. Peart Road. Attendees may bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the free, family friendly movie, which will be shown on an inflatable screen. There is no charge to attend. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Positive Parenting Program for all parents

Triple P Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs and is designed to give parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to build stronger family relationships. Group Triple P will start on Tuesday, Oct. 21 and preregistration is required. Childcare available. Group Stepping Stones Triple P for parents of children with special needs (up to 12 years of age) requiring intensive training in positive parenting or those who wish to learn a variety of parenting skills to apply to multiple contexts.
