‘Let’s Stick Together’ in November
Stop by either library to help create a beautiful mosaic poster just in time for Thanksgiving. Kids of all ages may join in a fun collaborative activity in November. At first it’s a mystery, just a blank canvas, but then you follow the color key and add the stickers in the correct locations to create a beautiful mosaic poster.
Getting to know your computer
Sending letters instantly to family and friends is only the beginning. Keep up to date on local and national news as well as favorite community organizations. The library will help people set up an email address to start writing. The workshop is taught by the library’s AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Class will meet at the Main Library next Monday from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Books for sale
A small selection of used books and DVDs is available for sale at the Main and Vista Grande libraries. Hardbacks are $2 each and paperbacks are 50 cents each or three for $1. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Library.
Family games at Vista
Games are a fun and motivating way to learn together. Activities are open to the whole family with all kinds of games and fun activities for every age on Saturday at the Vista Grande Library anytime from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Storytime at Main
Storytime is a great way to get a child ready to read. Participants will also take home a grab bag each week with an easy craft and/or activity to do at home. This program is limited in space by the room so attendees should arrive early and get a Storytime ticket at the front desk to reserve your space on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Storytime in the Park
Storytime in Peart Park (next to the Main Library) features books, songs and movement activities each week based on a fun theme. Participants will take home a grab bag with a craft or activities to complete at home on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. (new time). Attendees should bring a chair as the grass will be wet in the morning.
English as a second language
Both library branches are offering free English as a second language classes. Come to learn basic English, reading and conversation skills with Ms. Yael at Vista on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon. Meet with Mr. Mike at Main on Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon to practice pronunciation. No registration required, just bring paper and a pencil.
