Adventures in Nature Series

The Adventures in Nature Series screens documentaries and docudramas displaying the resilience of the human spirit and the quest for adventure in the great outdoors. The next showing, “127 Hours,” will be played from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Main Library.

Beginning Facebook

A Beginning Facebook class, to show students how to post, like and add a profile picture, is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Vista Grande Library.

Special Storytimes

Mo Willems Storytime at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Vista Grande Library. It is intended for children ages 3 to 5, but all children are welcome.

Basic Internet

A Basic Internet class is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Main Library.

AZ Humanities presentation

“Rock Hounds and River Rats: The 1937 Carnegie-Caltech Grand Canyon Expedition,” about a team of Caltech geology professors who in 1937 set out in three small wooden boats on a six-week journey through the Grand Canyon to study the ancient rocks of the canyon’s Inner Gorge, will be shown from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Friday at the Main Library.

Valentine Storytime at Main

A valentine-theme Storytime is at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the Main Library. It features heart-warming stories and includes refreshments and a craft.

Chess Club

Children ages 12 to 17 may join the Chess Club at the Main Library on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. It’s for kids who want to learn how to play or those who already know the game.
