STEM Saturdays at Vista
This week kids will participate in interactive experiments making a simple lemon battery, light-up alligator circuits and bristle bots. Programs are from 11 a.m. to noon, space is limited to 20 participants so arrive early. Crafts will be available for those too young to attend the STEM program.
English as a second language
Both library branches are offering free English as a second language classes. Come to learn basic English, reading and conversation skills.
- Tuesdays with Ms. Yael at Vista: 10 a.m. to noon
- Thursdays with Mr. Mike at Main: 10 a.m. to noon

The Mayor’s Reading Club is a special partnership between the city of Casa Grande and the Casa Grande Elementary School District. Volunteers are scheduled to spend up to one hour each month in two to four classrooms on a specific day. This class at the Vista Grande Library will cover basic kinder readiness topics, including alphabet sounds and recognition, numbers 1-10 recognition and counting, shapes, colors. Part of the goal will be to involve parents in helping students with classwork and exampling how to work with students on teaching kindergarten readiness skills.
