ELEVEN MILE CORNER — George Johnson is no stranger to the Pinal County Fair.
He’s been bringing his popular singing and impressions show to fair audiences for nearly 10 years.
Johnson, who calls himself the “Equal Opportunity Singing DJ,” provides music in various genres, from country to R&B to jazz.
With a wide vocal range, some of his favorite songs to sing are “All my Exes Live in Texas” as well as “Cats in the Cradle,” “Ring of Fire” and the sentimental favorite, “What a Wonderful World,” among others.
All songs are aimed at getting audiences dancing and having a good time.
At the Pinal County Fair, audiences favor country-western music and he aims to please, providing renditions of current artists and pioneers such as Johnny Cash and George Strait.
Johnson also does impressions, including Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks and others.
Johnson has been performing for more than 30 years. Originally from Orange County, California, he began doing musical impressions when he was a child.
As well as the Pinal County Fair, he regularly performs at the Arizona State Fair, Maricopa County Fair and other venues.
