CASA GRANDE — The Desert Sky Mustang Club plans to show its appreciation for the Casa Grande Police Department with a group drive to the station.
The club will meet at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at Dave White Regional Park, 2121 N. Thornton Road, and will drive together to the public safety headquarters on Val Vista Boulevard.
Once arriving, the club will present officers and staff with goodie bags. A plaque of appreciation will also be presented.
The Desert Sky Mustang Club consists of members throughout Pinal County. For the drive, they’ll be joined by the Arizona East Valley Mustang Club, who also wish to show support for officers, a press release from DSMC said.
The Desert Sky Mustang Club was founded in 2012 for those who own or appreciate the Ford Mustang. The club hosts regular get-togethers, group drives and other events, including an annual Big 3 Car Show in April for owners of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler vehicles and an All Ford Powered and Mustang Car Show in November.
A “Mustang Roundup” poker run is generally held in September and a road rally is typically held in October.
